Recently I started using Vivaldi browser for browsing the web on my laptops(work and home). Vivaldi is basically Opera in the good old days and you can imagine why because the CEO of vivaldi is none other than Jon Stephenson von Tetzchner. Yes, he was the CEO of Opera when it had all the goodness I liked in that browser.
Vivaldi has this feature called “Sessions” which is nothing but saving all the open tabs away into a session for later. I used this feature alot when I was using Opera and missed it when Opera got its rebranding.
This fealing brings back those old memories and good feeling. Needless to say I have been using it quiet a bit. But the caveat here is the session can’t be synced across just yet(not sure if Vivaldi plans to have that feature). Since I do my browsing on my office and home laptop I wanted a two way sync between the sessions created on both those laptops.
After a little bit of digging I found the location where the session data file is stored on Mac. Once I figured that out I just copied it over to my local git server(more on that in another post).
You can find the file on Mac here:
/Users/<user_name>/Library/Application Support/Vivaldi/Default/Sessions/session.bin
You can figure out your own way of syncing that file across your computers, I will try to make a post on how I sync the file in a later post.
