My wallet survived black friday unscathed.
No -
- Buying outdated tech at door buster prices.
- Buying tech that is cute, cheap, and maybe someday would come in handy.
- Making duplicate purchase for when the original wears off/stops working [for redundancy because it is cheap].
- Giving in to buying stuff of wishlist.
- Upgrading tech because they are on sale.
- Impulse purchases.
- And also somehow convinced myself to not the Sony A7iv despite it being an almost hard to pass price point (Sony has an event on Dec 2 with rumors suggesting a successor for the a7iv).
The main reason? I was busy playing God of War Ragnarök on my PS5, trying to kill the Hateful on my quest to find Tyr. To anyone who thinks gaming is a waste of time: time is money—and the time I spent playing helped me save money I would’ve otherwise wasted buying things I don’t need.
It also helped that I avoided deal-tracking websites, since during sales I usually spend way too much time browsing for “interesting” things to buy just because they’re cheap.
