Drop alt keyboard + Keychron Banana Switch
I started using my Drop Alt keyboard again. I’ve tried getting rid of it a few times, but somehow it keeps finding its way back onto my desk.
After trying the Keychron Super Banana switches on the Lemokey Pro, I thought those switches might finally breathe some life into the Drop Alt.
The smoothness is definitely there now, but the aluminum case still makes the board noticeably loud. I was hoping to get closer to the softer, more muted sound profile of the Lemokey Pro, but I’m not quite there yet.
I’m wondering if adding foam would make a meaningful difference — maybe enough to get the acoustics closer to the Lemokey, or at least make the Drop Alt easier to sell :PI got back to using my Drop Alt keyboard. I have been trying to get rid of it but to no avail. Having tried the Keychron super banana switches on Lemokey Pro keyboard, I thought these switches would help me revive my drop alt keybaord.
Even though the I was able to achieve the smooth typing feel, the aluminium case was still loud as I typed. I was trying to achieve the same level of typing experience I had on the Lemokey keyboard but haven’t gotten it just yet.
I am wondering if adding foam would get me to the lemokey pro keyboard level of typing decibel levels :P or atleast this change would help me sell the drop alt keyboard.
