Stop making dashboards

I’m starting to get a little tired of going into meetings only to see yet another LLM-generated dashboard that no one asked for! Every time I see someone pull up a dashboard they created using an LLM (Claude/Cursor/Grok/Gemini/), I can’t help but ask:

• Why was this built?
• Who asked for it?
• What decision does it help us make?
• What question does it actually answer?

I have yet to hear a convincing answer to any of these questions. It probably bears repeating: “Just because you can” isn’t a good enough reason to do something.

LLMs are a great tool for going from ideation to POC, but they aren’t a replacement for human intelligence, judgment, or common sense.

Sometimes, the best dashboard is the one you don’t build.
