iPad Mini 7

Few days after my last weeks post, and Apple quietly refreshed the Mini on Oct 15th. Since it was a quiet refresh, as expected there isnt a lot of visible change except maybe the ipad mini engraving that the new model has. Mostly it is a hardware refresh to facilitate Apple intelligence since is has been upgrade from a15 to a17 pro. The base storage is 128 and can be upgraded to 256 or 512. It has 8GB RAM as opposed to 4 GB on its predecessor (also the one I currently use). Otherwise eerything remains the same as the last gen. Also the newer model now has support for apple pencil pro.

Whether it is for good or bad, my wallet is always there to curb(remind me) my impulse/enthusiasm for new tech. Like I have always mentioned, I would love to see a high end spec on a small factor 1 . But also in a way the quiet refresh is good because I don’t see too much of a reason to upgrade. I have been using it for nothing more than consuming content (netflix, youtube, substack). And occasional doodle-ing on procreate.

Amazon Kindle

Color soft

I get off on new tech. But I have also grown older ;) 2 It is promising to see a color version of paperwhite. I might still want to get it but at the moment I am not consuming any comics let alone color ones. It all came to a stop after I was done with Naruto anime.

Scribe

A product I am interested in but at the same time I feel the idea seems nice. But when it comes to daily use not sure how much I would put it to use for that price tag.

Kindle Paperwhite

25% faster page turns and water proof - nah I pass. I am right now going analog borrowing books from library and even while using kindle I don’t see the page turn so much of an issue.

Age of Empires mobile

I was really excited for this game because age of empires was one of my favorite strategy games of all time. In fact I got into strategy games because of it. Needless to stay it is pretty much like every other rts game for mobile. I only spent a short amount of time with but it was apparent that it is a money dump game.

You need 💸 to get good heroes and get powerful. Nothing like its original game.

TWIL

Stardew valley derives a lot of inspiration from GBA game - Harvest moon.
