US Elections are over - Trump Won!

When you follow elections vigorously as an immigrant, thats the sign. An activity which was once considered boring has now become main stay entertainment :P.
Congrats to the Republican’s and Presidnet elect Donald Trump. Markets have reacted well to the news and the timing also conincides well with Fed’s reducing the interest rate by 25 base points.

ZelliJ
ZelliJ is “new” tmux. Batteries included out of the box. Since my move to Apple and as a result using Termial.app I haven’t found myself in a position to use tmux.
My mindset have shifted from trying to think of all possible scenarios and have it be configured for them to if I need then I will seek out the software or the config to achieve.
Feel good productivity

Having read this book right after Deep Work, there were parts of philosophy which I felt overlapped. Nonetheless I really enjoyed reading this book and recommend it.
Since I read a borrowed copy from library I was focused on finishing the book to return it on the due date that I didn’t take notes or keep track of action items/exercises to incorporate some of the methods. So I plan to borrow it again and reread to better absorb the content.

The math for not renewing Apple Care+ for my iphone
The apple care on my iphone 14 pro has come to an end without having the need to avail it. I let it expire despite havig 60 days to take a call if I wanted to renew it.
Status of my iphone:
- My battery health is at 86 I am not sure how long before it falls below 80 so that I can call upon a replacement using apple care.
- The screen has scratches but nothing too major that Apple would deem replacement worthy.
The Apple Care+ renews at 12/month, and since I am skipping the upgrade cycle this time around I need to have it until next iphone launch which means I need to shell out 144$ (12/month * 12 months until next iphone release). And when I do avail to replace my iphone that is going to run me another 99$.
Currently the iphone trades at $400, but this time next year I am sure that value would drop to somewhere around ~ $250. To get that I would have needed to spend $250 on the care and replacement. Essentially a zero sum game for me. That is why I decided not to renew the Apple care. It would have made financial sense if I decided to upgrade this year.
