I am ready to upgrade my iphone 16 pro

It has now been a good 3 months with the iphone 16 pro. I resisted from thrashing the iphone 16 pro because I was afraid it would come out being a knee jerk reaction.

But now after couple of upgrades and a good 3 months of usage I am ready to upgrade my iphone 16 pro. Which is really really sad state for the iphone 16 pro :’(.

There is usually a good 8-10 month period in any smart phone upgrade I have done so far before I start to feel the new smart phone feeling wade away. But with the iphone 16 pro, I regretted trading in my iphone 14 pro from the moment I set it up. But I thought the remorse was because of the debacle of iOS 18 which is Apple Intelligence.

What is going on:

  • Overall software lag
  • App switch stutters from time to time
  • Sutterness when switching between tabs and scrolling on web pages in Safari
  • Opening Camera app by clicking the camera button in slow or atleast feel slow for - which really should feel that way given it is a just a 3 month old device.

Camera Control

Do I need to start on this? Everyone I have talked to have either ignored its presence or echo my sentiment which is: shots taken by clicking the camera button often tend to come out shaky compared to just clicking the on screen button. Despite the best efforts to keep the iphone steady - it isn’t because of shaky hands!!!

Logitech Pro 2

I got the logitech pro 2 mouse and had been using for few weeks. It is ultra light and I am returning it.

There isn’t really anything wrong with the mouse, I am just used to the Logitech G502 mouse. It is an amalgamation of the Master MX and Logitech Pro X if I may say that.

One of the main factors for wanting to return the mouse is it only has 2 buttons. Which I can either use to increase/decrease the dpi or use it for forward/backward movement.

I was used to LogitechG502 which had 4 buttons, conveniently allowing me to use 2 buttons for changing between various DPIs and other 2 for the forward and backward movement in apps, webpages…etc.
