Dvorak

I gave up Colemak a while back, though I kept using it on and off—remnants of the sunk cost fallacy, if you will.

In the wake of that, I’ve started toying with the idea of Dvorak.

A Late Realization

After spending roughly 10 years in Colemak land, I think I’ve finally figured out that maybe I’m just not a rolling-fingers kind of guy.

For reasons I couldn’t explain, QWERTY always felt more comfortable to me than Colemak. I could never quite put my finger on why—until now. I think I’m more of an alternating-fingers kind of typist.

Since Dvorak’s main selling point is its even distribution of workload across both hands through alternating finger movements, I’m intrigued. I can’t help but wonder whether I might actually enjoy Dvorak.
