Apple Notes’ killer feature in iOS26
… questionably arriving late.
I use notes.app to capture and draft my blog posts, ideas from time to time. And when it comes time to post I copy paste it into a file and perform the necessary formating which is including the front matter to make it Hakyll compatible.
With the introduction of export to markdown in iOS26, this process might just become easier. I have gotten some ideas on how I want to leverage this to make my blogposting process streamlined but for that I would have to wait till releases on the macos because I don’t want to upgrade my macos to beta.
Pixel 10
If it wasn’t for my soul sucking 3 year contract I locked myself into upgrading to iphone 16 ATT contract, I would have been very tempted to hop on the Pixel train.
If I had a choice I would choose either the Base Pixel 10 or the Pixel 10 pro fold. The base pixel is immense value for the money, and with the pixel 10 the lines between the base and pro are getting blurred.
So why did I go from talking about value for buck to picking the pro fold, which is 2.25x the cost of the Pixel 10?
Well, I currently use an iPhone and an iPad mini together. The only reasons I still use the iPad mini are: - Media consumption when the iphone 16 pro’s screen is small. - Procreate, to learn and create digital art. - Read pdfs/articles.
Except for the procreate use case, I think Pixel Fold might be an excellent 2 in 1 replacement for iphone+ipad mini. The crease is a bit of a concern, but judging by the reviews, it seems to have gotten a lot better since the first iterations of the tech that it shouldn’t be a dealbreaker.
